Dear Toronto Catholic Community,
As we come together to celebrate Easter, we are reminded of its profound message of renewal, hope, and new beginnings. This season invites us to reflect on the meaning of faith in our lives, the strength of our community, and the opportunities we have to bring light and kindness into the world.
Throughout the Lenten season and Holy Week, our school communities have been actively preparing for Easter in meaningful ways. I encourage you to watch this video, which showcases how our students and educators have journeyed together in faith through the various activities happening across our schools.
This Easter holds particular significance as we continue our journey through the Jubilee Year, proclaimed by Pope Francis under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” The Jubilee is a time of renewal, reconciliation, and reflection, encouraging us to embrace hope as we move forward in faith. Easter and the Jubilee share a common call - to reflect on our personal and collective journeys, to seek renewal in our faith, and to strengthen the bonds of our community.
To all students, families, and staff across Toronto Catholic, we extend our warmest Easter blessings. Whether you're celebrating Mass with your parish, enjoying meals with family and friends, or giving back to those in need, the moments we share together beautifully reflect Christ’s love and the joy of His resurrection.
As spring nears, may we continue to walk together as a community of faith, carrying the Easter message beyond this season and into our daily lives.
Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter.
With warm regards,
Dr. Brendan Browne
