Our Orientation Centre provides school registration and placement services for newcomer families and their children between the ages of 14-20 who wish to attend a Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) secondary school.
Our staff at the Orientation Centre are highly skilled and trained, and have assessed, supported and placed thousands of students from outside of Ontario and Canada in various secondary schools within the TCDSB.
With the ability to conduct interviews and assessments in multiple languages, some of the services we offer include:
Provide an introduction to Ontario's educational system and TCDSB secondary schools.
Evaluate foreign school documents and transcripts.
Advise students on the number of out-of-province credits earned.
Recommend grade and level placement.
Counsel students on choice of schools, including program and space availability.
Forward English and math assessments results to TCDSB secondary schools in order to facilitate student placement.
We provide services to families with students between the ages of 14 and 20 who wish to attend a TCDSB secondary school and are new to Canada, or have been studying outside of Canada or in Quebec in the past year or longer.

The Orientation Centre is open during the months of July and August to support and process new and incoming students for the start of the school year in September.
We also process TCDSB Summer School Programs for newcomer students in the months of May and June. Visit Summer School Programs for more information.
