What is SORA? SORA is the application we use to access the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB)'s digital library collection. To introduce elementary students to the TCDSB's vast collection which boasts hundreds of new and classic titles, magazines, comics, and graphic novels, a Read-a-Thon was hosted from February 20 to March 31, 2023. The contest was open to all students in Grades 1 to 8. Students logged on to their TCDSB SORA account and read what they love. Active reading time was tracked, and the top three students were awarded prizes.

Collectively these students read for over 400 hours! Mikaela, Jean Dharice, and Loraine Mae remind us all how important it is to get lost in a good book and to foster a life-long love of reading.
