Ontario Student Transcript
An official Ontario Student Transcript is a record of credits achieved in secondary school. Transcripts are required for university / college application, other post secondary programs, employment, etc.
All school boards in Ontario are mandated to maintain the Ontario Student Record (OSR) folder including a copy of the official Student Transcript (OST) for a minimum of 55 years after the student is demitted.
How to Obtain an Ontario Student Transcript
Transcript requests are processed on a “first come, first served” basis. Transcript requests require an average of 5 to 7 business days to process.
The process to obtain a transcript depends on when the student left school:
Current Records - Students Who Left Secondary School After June 30, 2014
Former Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) students who left secondary school after June 30, 2014 must contact the last secondary school attended in order to obtain an official Ontario Student Transcript.
Former TCDSB students whose school has closed must request their Ontario Student Transcript from the transcript office.
Archived Records - Students Who Left Secondary School On or Before June 30, 2014
Former TCDSB students who were demitted from secondary school on or prior to June 30, 2014 (graduated or retired) have 3 options for submitting a transcript request:
