At the Toronto Catholic District School Board’s (TCDSB) Caucus meeting on November 18, 2024, Markus de Domenico, Trustee for Ward 2 was elected as the Chair and Kevin Morrison, Trustee for Ward 9 was elected as the Vice-Chair.

Markus de Domenico, elected to the TCDSB in 2018, has been a dedicated advocate for families and children in Central Etobicoke for over 15 years. He recently served as Vice-Chair and has served on numerous committees including Chair of Student Achievement, Governance and Policy, Labour Relations, and the Angel Foundation for Learning.

A JUNO Award Nominee and recipient of the Ontario Best Children’s Song Award and U.S. Parents’ Choice Award, Markus is an accomplished musician with over 25 years of experience. Known for performances and appearances on CBC’s Mr. Dressup, Fred Penner’s Place, and Treehouse TV, he has also written, composed, and produced live concert productions for popular children’s shows like Bob the Builder.

Kevin Morrison was elected as a TCDSB Ward 9 Trustee in 2023. He brings over 14 years of parent engagement experience through his work on school councils and as an executive member of the Toronto Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC). An award-winning communications consultant and strategist, Kevin is deeply dedicated to Catholic education and ensuring that students are always at the centre of his work. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Kevin brings a global perspective to his role.

"As Vice Chair, my primary focus is to support the Chair in advancing our shared mission of putting students and families first. Together, we will strive to create an environment where every decision reflects the values of equity, inclusion, and opportunity, ensuring the best outcomes for the TCDSB community."
