Advisory Committees
Advisory Committees
The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) establishes advisory committees with a mandate to:
Advise the board on policies, programs and services which close the learning opportunity gaps for school communities.
Consult and engage with the larger communities in regard to student achievement.
Assess the effectiveness of steps taken to improve the academic success of students.
Identify and allocate funds for the implementation of identified strategies and programs.
Share best practices across TCDSB.
The committees include parent and community representation, as well as trustees, staff and students.
Each advisory committee meets four times per academic year. Advisory meetings are considered public. Attendees of the meetings who are not committee members, may attend as observers, not as participants.
