Treaties Recognition Week was introduced in 2016 to honor the importance of treaties and to help Ontarians learn more about treaty rights and treaty relationships.​ Treaties Recognition Week is observed on the week beginning on the first Sunday in November in each year.

• Historical Canada’s Treaties in Canada Education Guide covers a wide range of topics for educators to discuss with their students including Indigenous peoples' oral traditions, a historical timeline of treaties in Canada, a case study featuring Treaty No. 9 and the Idle No More movement.​

• The First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Association of Ontario (FNMIEAO) website has educational webinars and videos on the Treaties and how to teach them in the classroom.
