The Black Alliance at Madonna (BAM) from Madonna Catholic Secondary School, is extremely grateful for the incredible experience they had at Disney’s production of The Lion King.
For many of the students, this was their first time attending a live theatrical performance, and it was truly unforgettable. The visuals, storytelling, and amazing performances had them in complete awe. Beyond the show, what resonated with the students most was the passion and dedication of the cast and crew. It was truly inspiring to see how culture, history, and creativity came together so beautifully on stage.
Mirvish Productions arranged for a Meet & Greet, so that the students could speak with some of the cast members after the show, which was an absolute privilege. Their openness, warmth, and knowledge gave us a deeper appreciation for the skill behind the production. Learning about the cultural influences, the puppeteering techniques, and the commitment and dedication it takes to bring this story to life made the experience even more meaningful.
Many of our students left the show feeling incredibly inspired, some with a newfound interest in theatre and the arts, and others with a greater appreciation for the power of storytelling. The passion and performances have left a lasting impact on us, and we are so thankful for the Education and Engagement manager for making this such a memorable experience.
