The Library Resource Centre program has four aims:
To support the classroom teacher.
To encourage independent learning.
To encourage leisure reading.
To provide opportunities for enrichment.
The teacher-librarian works closely with full classes, small groups, and individual students, to help them achieve their specific educational goals.
The teacher-librarian maintains an up-to-date collection of appropriate electronic and print resources.
Regular Library hours are 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM and students are free to use the facilities any time during those hours when it is not scheduled for use by classroom teachers.
Please note that the school library is a vital and integral part of the school's instructional program. It is to be used as an area of study and research.
Anyone that disrupts the learning environment, damages any property, or in any way is deemed to have inappropriate behaviour will be asked to leave the library. The computers in the Library are for the sole purpose of research and are not to be used for e-mail and chat rooms.
