The Grade 11 GPP and Grade 12 IDC students at Madonna Catholic Secondary School came together to celebrate and recognize International Women's Day, through a weeklong series of school-wide initiatives.
Students added important women to a school-created mural, ensuring their contributions are remembered and celebrated. They also expressed appreciation by signing gratitude cards for all female staff members.
The students took their creativity further by designing an interactive art piece that not only honors the achievements of women in history but also looks ahead to the future contributions of today’s students.
In the spirit of giving back, students organized a shoebox charity drive, collecting personal care items to support the North York Women’s Shelter. Through these actions, they demonstrated leadership, gratitude, and a commitment to uplifting the women in their school and community.
