At Madonna Catholic Secondary School, as part of the course culminating activity for Civics, students compete in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) project. The YPI finals represent the culmination of the program, where student groups present their research on local social issues and advocate for a local charity of their choice. The most effective presentation earns a $5,000 grant for the represented charity. This significant prize supports the charity’s efforts in addressing critical community needs, highlighting the students' impact through their philanthropic endeavors and the real-world benefits of their advocacy and research skills.

This year, the winning team Maria, Kylie, Rinoa, and Rainsell, won for the charity Kababayan Multicultural Centre. Congratulations to all who participated!
