A large group of people on a stage

Congratulations to Lynise Reedy, who was this year’s recipient of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association-Teachers' Support Unit (OECTA-TSU) Teacher of the Year Award. She was honored for her extraordinary work at the TSU appreciation dinner on January 4.

Her creative spirit transformed the lives of St. Patrick students from the classroom to our Winter and Spring Arts Showcases to this year's triumphant run of "Mag-ina" in the National Theatre School Drama Festival. "Mag-ina," a student-driven play about the reunification of Filipino immigrant families, garnered several awards and drew widespread media attention on its way to the Provincial showcase in North Bay.

Ms. Reedy has shown extraordinary dedication, passion, and leadership throughout her career: mentoring and inspiring her students, collaborating with her colleagues, and shining a spotlight on the importance of theatre and the Arts in the lives of young people. The St. Pats community is so proud of her achievement and recognition this year and thankful we get to work alongside her every day.

A woman holding an award.
