On Monday, March 24, two classes from Loretto College took part in a powerful and educational visit to the Toronto Holocaust Museum. Through the use of augmented reality (AR), students engaged with survivor testimonies, historical artifacts, and immersive digital exhibits that brought to life the experiences of Canadian Jewish communities before, during, and after the Holocaust.
The visit sparked deep reflection, as students were especially moved by the stories of resilience and the museum’s focus on remembrance and education as essential tools in the fight against hate. The experience served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of learning from history and bearing witness.
