On April 10 and 11, 2025 (Thursday and Friday), the Grade 10, 11, and 12 History and Religion classes at Senator O'Connor College School had the incredible opportunity to visit the Holodomor Mobile Classroom: a state-of-the-art, interactive multimedia environment designed to engage and educate students and the public across Canada about the Ukrainian genocide.
Students listened to the voices of those who spoke out against the atrocities of the 1932–1933 genocide-famine in Ukraine. This immersive learning experience was both impactful and engaging. At the end of the session, students worked in groups to create their own collages aimed at raising awareness and inspiring one another to use their voices for good.
A special thank-you goes to Senator O'Connor teacher Nancy Symons for organizing this powerful and memorable experience for our students!
