Opa! This March Break, 26 students from Monsignor Percy Johnson Catholic Secondary School had the opportunity to travel to Greece and Italy. In Greece, they travelled back in time to the Acropolis in Athens, Apollo's temple in Delphi and a monastery high in the sky in Meteora. Following an overnight ferry, students were met with the beautiful port of Ancona, Italy followed by the rolling green hills of Tuscany and the Duomo in Florence. Students then entered the ruins of the Coliseum and Roman Forum.
Finally, the students had the privilege of participating in Jubilee celebrations by walking through the Holy Doors of St. Peter's Basilica, soaking in the history and central figure of the Catholic Church. If that wasn't awestruck enough, we were treated to a private tour in the evening of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Che bella!
