Congratulations to our Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School students who achieved remarkable success at the Toronto Science Fair 2025, earning four prestigious awards, six bronze medals, and two gold medals. One student was selected to represent the Toronto Team at the Canada Wide Science Fair.

The detailed results of the winners are as follows:

Award Winners:

  • Istvan C.F. and Jj T.O. – University of Toronto Department of Earth Sciences Mathew Shawn McConville Award - Intermediate Category.

  • Alexander C. – Sea Moss, Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) Second Place Award.

    • Project: Can Machine Learning Be Used to Predict Air Quality?

  • Gillian S. and Diana L. – Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) First Place Award.

    • Project: Biodegradable Water Filter and 3D Printing Technology.

  • Elena S. – Canada Wide Science Fair Travel Award.

    • Project: Martian Kite – The Future of Space Energy.

Bronze Medalists:

  • Mickle L. Project: Adaptive EEG BCI-Controlled Robotic Arm Based on Real-Time Attention Levels.

Elena S. will represent the Toronto Team at the Canada Wide Science Fair.
