On October 19, 2024 (Saturday), Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School's Concert Winds came to school for an all-day band retreat. Throughout the day, the students worked together in different styles of rehearsal to polish and perfect their pieces as well as bond as a team. We had 55 students from grades 9 to 12 attend the workshop. The musicians worked collaboratively and shared musical ideas throughout the day Ms. Sookram and Mr. Mertinz are very proud of the efforts the band put in.
At the end of the day, the students put on a showcase of their learning for their parents. The students worked hard and had a fun-filled Saturday. Our Grade 10 Band will be taking part in their own retreat on Saturday retreat on November 23 and are very much looking forward to another fun-filled Saturday.
