On March 24, the students of Marshall McLuhan Catholic Secondary School participated in the Toronto Science Fair 2024, winning 6 Silver Medals, 4 Bronze Medals, and the Water Environment Association of Ontario Award. Through their projects and work, our students demonstrated an understanding of scientific research as an inquiry-based learning and of scientific skills and knowledge.
The six award- and medal-winning groups are as follows:

Krystana A. and Trixie C. won Silver Medals for the project: Rain on Me: Harvesting Energy from Roof Runoff
Krystana A. and Trixie C. also won The Water Environment Association of Ontario Award
Our students’ achievements demonstrate their hard work and their commitment to intellectual academic growth and the application of their learning of numeracy, literacy, critical and analytical thinking as well as their ability to integrate and analyse real-life problem-solving and decision-making skills. The students’ achievement is a reflection of the tremendous teacher support and dedication enriching in assisting the students to reach their goals.
