This holiday season, a group of compassionate students from the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) will embark on a meaningful two-week humanitarian mission to the Philippines. The initiative aims to provide aid through the construction of homes and outreach to orphanages and marginalized communities.
Among the dedicated volunteers are Vianca V., a Grade 10 student from Loretto Abbey, and Luke T. from Mary Ward, who were interviewed at the recent CSLIT General Assembly. Both expressed their enthusiasm and readiness to contribute positively to the lives of those in need. Another Loretto Abbey Grade 10 student, Eadrienne F., will also join the mission, demonstrating the strong spirit of service among TCDSB students.
This mission underscores the board’s commitment to nurturing empathy, social responsibility, and active global citizenship among its students.
