In partnership with Toronto Police Services, Toronto Parks and Recreation and Toronto Public Health, St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School has been running an innovative cooking club for almost 20 years. Each Monday, a Greater Toronto Area (GTA) chef comes to teach our students how to prepare one of their signature dishes with our Stone Soup Cooking group.
Students receive direct instruction from established chefs such as Patrick Alleguede, retired chef from Ma Maison, who impart their love of cooking. After the food is prepared, the students and adults all sit down and break bread together, enjoying a wonderful home-cooked meal.
