This Advent season, the halls of St. Michael’s Choir School were filled with the spirit of giving as the school community partnered with Toronto Police Services, 51 Division, to organize a heartwarming Toy Drive for children in need. The initiative aimed to bring smiles to children residing in Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) with the support of Project Hope, which is dedicated to assisting families who have newly arrived to Canada.

The response from the St. Michael's Choir School community was nothing short of remarkable. In a true testament of Catholic generosity, over 200 toys were donated, each one a small beacon of hope for children who might otherwise go without a present this Christmas season. From cuddly stuffed animals to action figures and art supplies, the gifts symbolized much more than toys—they represented community, compassion, and care.

Thanks to this partnership, the Toy Drive not only brightened this Christmas for many families but also reinforced the power of collaboration and the importance of extending a hand to those in need. For the students and staff of St. Michael’s Choir School, it was a beautiful reminder of the deeper meaning of Advent and living out our virtue of the month for December, which is Charity.
