On November 19, 2024 (Tuesday), the Marshall McLuhan Choir and St. Joseph's Morrow Park Choir travelled to Senator O'Connor College School for a day of collaborative singing with the with all three school's choirs combined. The day began with the three choirs meeting for the first time and singing together.
The three choirs joined together, sang pieces that they had been learning in their respective schools, and worked together to improve their pieces and learn from each other. All three groups were able to learn from each other and grow as singers.
After lunch, the groups sang for each other, gave feedback on their work in progress pieces and gave helpful advice to improve their performance. Students workshopped two pieces together and at the end of the day we did a showcase performance in the Atrium at Senator O'Connor.
Mr. Mertinz, Ms. Kinghorn, Mr. Griffiths, Ms. Sookram and Ms. Lentini are incredibly proud of the efforts and work the students put in throughout the day. This is part one of a two-part learning experience. In the new year, the St. Joseph's Morrow Park Choir and Senator O'Connor choir will travel to Marshall McLuhan and collaborate once again!
