St. Joan of Arc Catholic Academy's Grade 12 Religion students recently teamed up with students with special education needs to create Christmas care packages consisting of socks and sandwiches that were distributed to the homeless in the downtown core.

This collaborative effort was driven by a shared commitment to make a positive impact in the community, blending the diverse strengths of each participant.

Senior students took on leadership roles, organizing the assembly of the care packages and supported the packing and personalizing of the items, in mentorship, by our students in the ISP classes. This initiative not only helped address immediate needs but also fostered inclusivity, teamwork, and compassion among the students, highlighting the importance of community service and empathy.

The project has left a lasting impression on both the students and the community, demonstrating the power of collaboration and kindness in making a difference.
