After months of dedicated training, the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Academy Track and Field team had a chance to show their abilities at the Toronto District Catholic Athletic Association (TDCAA) Track and Field Championships, held on May 13-14, 2024 at Etobicoke Centennial Stadium. With over 30 schools competing, our team earned 4 medals, with all four athletes advancing to the METRO Track and Field Championships to be held on May 23-24, 2024 at Birchmount Stadium.
Leading the way for the Mavericks were Jonathan M., Joshua A. and Nathaniel M. who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Para 100 metres. Jonathan’s winning time of 14.30 was 0.02s shy of the TDCAA meet record. Also medalling and advancing to Metro’s was Chidera E. with a third place in the Senior girls Shot put.
