On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Holy Angels Catholic Elementary School proudly hosted the TCDSB Skills Ontario TV/Video Production Provincial Qualifier. Elementary Guidance Teachers, Mr. Amato and Mr. Ferrari, welcomed twelve teams from across the board for an exciting day of creativity and collaboration.
Teams were tasked with planning, filming, editing, and producing a one-minute video on the theme “We Are Canadian!”—all within a challenging four-hour time frame. The panel of esteemed judges included TCDSB alumni and movie enthusiast Carl Chyz, CBC’s Diana Cina, and Experiential Learning Lead Sandra Morassutti.
Congratulations to Sofia W. and Isabela B. from St. Gregory Catholic School for securing the top spot in the competition! Aiden F. and Jaejune K. of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Elementary School also earned a well-deserved second-place finish. Both teams will proudly represent the TCDSB at the Skills Ontario Provincial Competition in May.
