In a display of exceptional talent and determination, Chaminade High School's track and field team asserted their dominance at the Metro Championships held on May 23 and 24. Competing against high schools from across the city of Toronto, the Gryphons emerged as the third best school, underscoring their prowess in track and field events.

As the dust settles on the Metro Championships, Chaminade celebrates the remarkable achievements of nine outstanding athletes who will now advance to the provincial championships. These athletes, through their dedication and stellar performances, have earned the opportunity to represent their school on a larger stage at the provincial championships in London, Ontario, scheduled from June 6 to 8.

The distinguished athletes moving forward are:

  • Christian F.: Novice Pole Vault champion and record holder.

  • Isreal A.: Secured the 3rd position in the Junior 100m hurdles.

  • NJ D. M.: Demonstrated excellence with a 4th place finish in the Junior 1500m race.

  • Malike O.: Impressed with a 3rd place finish in the Junior Discus event.

  • Kahari H.: Claimed the 2nd position in 110m hurdles and emerged as the 400m hurdles champion.

  • Aaron S.: Secured the 3rd position in 800m and the 2nd position in 1500m races.

  • William T.: Showcased dominance as the 110m hurdles champion.

  • 4 x 400 Relay Team: Comprised of William T., Kahari H., Aaron S., Christopher D. M., along with NJ D. M. and Ethan E.

Chaminade High School extends its utmost pride and support to these talented athletes as they prepare to compete at the provincial championships.
