On November 29, 2024, the Angel Foundation for Learning (AFL) held their annual Snowball Gala as a fundraising event for our TCDSB community. Dancers from Bishop Marrocco / Thomas Merton Catholic Secondary School, along with two other schools, were selected to perform at this prestigious event. Under the direction of Miss Mullowney, the dance teacher at BMTM, our dancers performed four unique and incredibly talented pieces.
The performance began with a traditional Chinese dance performed by Ziqi C.. Next was the highly renowned Dance team XCEL, who were also being filmed by OMNI TV that evening, as they are creating a documentary piece on the dance team and their work within the Portuguese community. Next was the lovely jazz piece performed by Sara L.. Finally, the closing piece was performed by a K-pop group debuting with their first performance ever, team KROMA. The crowd was highly entertained, cheering all the dancers on, and even singing along to the songs. This was truly a night to remember, and the Bishop Morocco dancers in no small part were angels of the evening. They were truly grateful, and hoping to be invited again next year!
