More than 200,000 students across Ontario are getting the opportunity to experience the voting process firsthand through a special program organized by a local charity in collaboration with Elections Ontario.
At Bishop Macdonell Catholic School, students are conducting their own research on candidates and voting for the same MPP candidates running in their riding. This hands-on initiative helps young voters understand the democratic process and the importance of civic engagement.
The program aims to educate students about elections, encouraging them to be informed and active citizens in the future.
