Moses wears his championship medal while speaking to a news reporter

Ten-year-old Moses S. from St. Roch Catholic School went from being a self-taught musician to a Cross Country Champion. Moses, who is on the Autism spectrum, competed in the Special Olympics portion of the City Championships race and won. He has only been running for a year prior to winning the championship.

Moses can also play the drums and the piano. His teachers noticed that he was very musically inclined and got him access to the instruments, and he taught himself to play by watching videos of performances.

Congratulations, Moses, and best of luck in your future!
