The Arts students of St. Joseph's College School embarked on a three-day tour of Montreal exploring the city’s rich artistic, musical, and dramatic cultures. The trip began with a walking tour of Montreal, exploring the various historic landmarks and public art displays, along with a wonderful culinary experience in Old Montreal.
The second full day in Montreal allowed students to engage in specific activities focusing on their arts specialty. The fine art students had a wonderful tour of Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal discovering various collections from antiquity to contemporary masterpieces. The drama students paid a visit to the National Theatre School of Canada, where they attended the play The Outhouse of Atreus. The music students ventured to Vanier College, where they participated in the Rhythms International Music Festival. After outstanding performances by the SJCS Wind Ensemble, String Ensemble, and Choir, all three ensembles earned top awards at the festival.
The trip concluded with a Mass at the renowned Notre Dame Basilica, which left a lasting impression on everyone. The trip was led by special members of the SJCS Staff: Vice-Principal Camilla Romano, teachers Margaret Darmanin, Mikayla Pacitto, and Dr. Daniel Hasznos.
