Dress Code

Students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 are expected to dress neatly and appropriately to promote a positive learning environment.

Guidelines

All students are expected to support the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) dress code colours of navy blue and white.

Students are to wear navy blue bottoms (pants, skirts or shorts - no denim or tights please) and white tops to school and on excursions.

Clothes should be neat, clean and without tears and/or holes and appropriate for the weather.

Offensive patches, symbols or sayings on clothing are not acceptable.

Halter-tops, tank tops, mesh shirts, cut-off or see through shirts and bandanas are inappropriate attire for school.

Spaghetti strap tops, low cut tank tops or t-shirts, low slung pants and abdomen-revealing tops are not allowed.

Sunglasses and hats are inappropriate in the school building and classroom.

Dress Code in TCDSB Schools

All Elementary schools within the jurisdiction of the Board shall adopt an Appropriate Dress Code or Uniform Dress Code.

Parents are encouraged to review the local dress code at their child’s school and to direct their questions to the principal of the school.
