Dress Code
In striving to achieve and maintain the values that are represented by the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), St. Eugene Catholic School is committed to standards of neatness, cleanliness, modesty, and good taste. At St. Eugene, all students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 are expected to adhere to the boardwide dress code of navy blue and white school attire.
Students are expected to wear the following:
Tops (White or Navy Solid Colour)
Polo shirts (short/long sleeves), turtleneck/mock neck, oxford shirts, t-shirt with sleeves, hooded sweat tops, vests, and cardigans.
Pants/Bottoms (Navy Solid Colour)
Khaki or cargo pants, dress pants, track pants, skirts, skorts, bermuda /walking shorts, and capris.
Shoes
Running shoes, non-marking rubber soled shoes, and dress shoes.
NOT PERMITTED: Clothing with designs of any kind, tank tops, denim clothing/jeans or “short shorts”.
Reminders
When boots are worn to school in cold or wet weather, all students should have a pair of indoor shoes for the winter season.
Students are encouraged to dress in t-shirts, runners and shorts/track pants for physical education classes.
No hats or other headwear allowed during instructional time.
If it is deemed by the school that a student is not dressed in a proper manner, parents will be notified.
Purchasing Formal St. Eugene Crested Uniform Attire (Optional)
Parents have the option to purchase more formal uniform pieces through InSchoolwear.
School crested tops are available for purchase.
A third colour (burgundy) has been introduced to our uniform wear. Our current navy blue and white uniforms can be coordinated with a crested burgundy vest, a crested burgundy cardigan or a crested burgundy tie.
The burgundy coordinated pieces must be crested pieces purchased from InSchoolwear.
