The Intermediate Co-Ed Flag Football Championship Tournament was held at Michael Power – St. Joseph High School on November 1, 2024 (Friday). After the 4 regional tournaments that included over 30 teams, only one team could be champ.
The final match was a dramatic one. St. Conrad Catholic School's team beat St. Dorothy Catholic School's 13-7 in a rematch of an earlier game that had St. Conrad narrowly coming out as the victors, in a final-play-of-the-game catch deep in the endzone.
Games were hard-fought, tense and exciting throughout the day. The strategy, creativity, fluid play and athletic feats on display were truly impressive and speak to the growing popularity of the tournament the competitiveness within it. St. Conrad finished the season undefeated, and their coaches would like to recognize the hard work and perseverance of their team.
On behalf of all the teams, we would like to thank administration, organizers, convenors, staff, parents, and students—the last of whom often share schoolyard space with the practicing teams. Thank you to Dan Ricci for once again coordinating all of the tournaments.
