On March 22, 2025 (Saturday), two teams of six (6) Grade 12 students each from James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School participated in the Engineering Idol Competition coordinated by the Professional Engineers of Ontario Etobicoke Chapter. To participate in this competition, students were challenged with creating a solution to mitigate the impact of wildfires on communities around the world. Both JCM teams created different solutions by researching stakeholders, following the engineering design process, creating a physical prototype, and animating a design for the prototype.
We at JCM are extremely proud of the work these students were able to do in a few short months!
