On January 21, 2025 (Tuesday) James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School held its annual STEAM Fair, an event that celebrates cutting-edge projects and innovations. The fair highlighted the culmination of months of student research, design, and creativity in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
Students participating in the showcase demonstrated an impressive ability to integrate academic research with hands-on applications. They began their projects by delving into scholarly articles that undergo a stringent peer review process, investigating topics surrounding sustainable urban development. This research laid the foundation for their creative innovations, which were brought to life using industry-standard computer software.
Mr. Summaria, department head of Technology, urged students to use technology responsibly and with the goal of bettering society. "We are not just a school" he said. "We are the architects of progress. And our future is bright."
James Cardinal McGuigan’s STEAM program continues to set a high standard for interdisciplinary learning, preparing students for the demands of the 21st century while fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
