Congratulations to Elijah R., who began attending James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic Secondary School in September of 2023, and who has been selected to play for Toronto FC II. Toronto FC's Player Liaison Officer connected with the School's guidance department after hearing about the school's new High Performance Athletic Program and the school's close proximity to TFC's Training Ground located at Keele Street and Sheppard Road.
Elijah played with TFC's U17 team and was also selected as an MLS Next All Star. Elijah has been invited to Canadian national Team camps and is a bright shining star for TFC as a homegrown player.
“I want to play for TFC’s first team and I want to be a starter,” underlines Elijah, who would also like to play for Team Canada one day. "I'm really excited and grateful for this opportunity and I’m looking forward to working hard to make those dreams a reality."
