The James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School Track and Field team participated in the Metro Championships last week, bringing home 15 medals and 2 team championships.
Our students won the Junior Female Track Championship and the Junior Male Track Championship, beating out 126 other schools. We beat power house schools like St. Mike’s, Villanova, UCC, Lawrence Park, Carr, Chaminade, Richview, Birchmount and Central Tech.
We also finished second overall in the entire city against all the Catholic, public and private schools, across all age divisions, for the second year in a row.
These are the second and third Metro Championships in school history. The first was last year.
