The Grade 9 and 10 Advanced Placment (AP) science classes at Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School attended the women in STEAM symposium at the Barret Center for Technology and Innovation at Humber Polytechnic Institute. The day began with small group talks moderated by women leaders in science, technology, engineering, agriculture and mathematics. This was followed by two sessions of workshops where our students were exposed to what Humber Polytechnic has to offer, including laboratory investigations in robotics, coding, material science and engineering.
The day was a massive success for all involved and Father Henry Carr looks forward to continued partnerships with Humber and other higher institutions of learning!
