On December 12, 2024, Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School hosted its inaugural Christmas in the Courtyard, bringing together hundreds of students, parents, and staff despite the winter chill.
The evening opened with a warm welcome from Principal Francesco Malfitano, who highlighted the event's focus on fostering community and parent engagement rooted in Catholic values. Basilian Father David Katulski led a reflection on the true meaning of Christmas, followed by the school choir’s enchanting performance of holiday carols.
The highlight of the night was the lighting and blessing of a 20-foot Christmas tree and the unveiling of the school’s new Holy Crèche. Indoors, families enjoyed music, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, and festive treats.
Special thanks to Mr. Pileggi, Ms. Banwell, Ms. Trower, and the dedicated staff, students, parents, and donors who made the event a success. We look forward to making this a cherished tradition for years to come!
