A Father Henry Carr student has bobbed and weaved her way through the competition to deliver championship after championship in women’s amateur boxing. Evelyn McEwan, daughter of famed Toronto boxing legend Everton McEwan, has delivered first class results in the ring. This pugilist specialist, grounded in the Basilian motto of “discipline,” has compiled a lengthy list of accolades in her short amateur career. This tremendous student athlete is now a Golden Gloves, Brampton Cup, and Texas Women’s Amateur Champion. At 12-0, with 8 wins by knockout, Evelyn continues to impress in the ring and in the classroom. The entire Father Henry Carr community is looking forward to Evelyn’s continued success.
