On September 12, 2024 (Thursday), Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School hosted our inaugural Grade 9 Advanced Placement Orientation in its newly renovated Student Learning Commons. Grade 9 students spent the morning learning about the Advanced Placement program and engaging in a variety of team-building activities with Grade 12 AP mentors. They also had the opportunity to meet with a recent graduate of the program, who spoke to them about the benefits of learning in an enriched classroom environment, writing AP exams, and post-secondary opportunities. In the 2024-2025 school year, the congregated Advance Placement Program has almost doubled in size.
Father Henry Carr is designated as the only TCDSB Regional Centre in North Etobicoke for the Congregated Advanced Placement Program.
