Three men standing in suits. The man in the middle is in a judicial robe.

On September 5, 2024, Vince A. Pileggi, Justice Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Lead Instructor and Canadian and World Studies (CWS) Department Head at Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School, along with Principal Francesco Malfitano, attended the "Swearing Out" ceremony for the Honourable Mr. Justice Antonio Di Zio. During his address to a full courtroom, Mr. Pileggi emphasized Justice Di Zio’s longstanding relationship with Father Henry Carr and his commitment to serving the community, particularly students interested in justice careers.

For decades, Justice Di Zio has participated in Father Henry Carr’s annual mock criminal trials, giving students the opportunity to observe the criminal process from arrest to verdict. His Honour has also volunteered countless hours at Carr’s Careers in Justice Fairs and with the Court Experience Program. This immersive program, run at the 2201 Finch Courthouse, allows high school students to explore the inner workings of a busy local courthouse, including potential career opportunities.

We are deeply grateful to Justice Di Zio for his selfless dedication to the legal profession and his service to the community.
