On April 26, 2024, Father Henry Carr Highschool and St. Angela Catholic Elementary School collaborated once again to host their second annual track invitational meet. Joining them were five other elementary schools, including St. Jude, Holy Child, St. Roch, and St. Stephen, demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship and talent on the track.
Each athlete competed with pride, representing their school with utmost dedication. Notably, Father Henry Carr students exhibited exemplary leadership, mentoring and guiding their peers from grades 3 to 8 throughout the event. The meet, designed to foster community, showcased intense competition, essential practice, and strong bonds between participating schools.
A special acknowledgment was extended to Peter Ricci from St. Angela, who spearheaded the organization of the event for several years. Ricci's dedication exemplifies his commitment to student development through sports. Without his passion and effort, this opportunity wouldn't have been possible.
Gratitude was also expressed to the leadership and track athletes of Father Henry Carr, as well as the organizers from both schools, for their invaluable contributions. The event not only provided young athletes with a platform to excel but also strengthened the connection between elementary and high school communities, all guided by the principles of Catholic values.
