Students at Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School have once again shown why they are one of the best when it comes to track and field.
During the weekend of December 9th, the school’s track and field team were the only Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) representatives at York University’s 32nd Annual International Youth Meet of Champions.
The event was composed of elite clubs from Ontario and Quebec, including some athletics who could be possibly competing for Team Canada in future Olympics. Despite this high level of competition, the students of Father Henry Carr’s track and field team rose to the occasion and concluded this weekend event with a triumphant total of 6 medals.
Students received a Gold medal in the Senior Girls 4x4, as well a Silver medal in the Junior Boys 4x2. The team also received a Bronze medal in the Novice boys 4x4, Senior Girls 4x2, Novice Girls Shot Put, and at the Novice Boys Shot Put.
The senior administration at the school would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the students and staff for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in achieving this major accomplishment for the school and the Board.
