D'Arcy McGee Catholic School celebrates a hands-on learning triumph as Grade 2 students conclude their immersive journey into the life cycle of chickens. Led by their devoted teacher, Ms. Tamburrini, the students participated in the "Kids in the Coop" program, culminating on May 3, 2024.

The 21-day project allowed the students to witness the miracle of life firsthand as they hatched chicks from incubated eggs. Through this experience, the young learners not only deepened their understanding of chicken life cycles but also gained a newfound appreciation for the care and dedication farmers invest in their livestock.

The initiative not only fostered curiosity and empathy but also instilled a sense of responsibility toward the environment and its inhabitants. Special thanks are extended to Officer Mike and ProAction Cops and Kids for their generous donation of the incubator and eggs, facilitating this enriching educational endeavor.

D'Arcy McGee proudly continues to cultivate a culture of hands-on learning and stewardship, empowering students to engage actively with the world around them.
